                   Ways to Help

1.  CONTACT YOUR PRINCIPAL OR PTSA.  You can help get GoGirlGo! started in your community by contacting your school's principal or by contacting the President of your parent-student association.  Let them know that you would like to see a GoGirlGo! group started in your school and direct them to our website at www.getagirlgoing.org so they can get more information. Churches, synagogues, boy & girls clubs, etc. can also implement this curriculum.  Let us know if you are interested.

2.  HELP LEAD A GROUP.  If you are a girl in high school, consider co-leading an elementary or junior high GoGirlGo! group.  Your experiences can help the younger girls.  You must lead the group with an adult, but you can help create the lesson plans, decide on the physical activities, and be an integral part to the discussions.  If you'd like to do this, contact me at sheri@getagirlgoing.org or your counselor and we'll help to make it happen.

3.  GET ACTIVE.  You can help just by being active and getting the girls around you to be active also.  Instead of watching a movie or playing video games, ask your friends to join you in a round of basketball, see who can jumprope the longest, or take a walk to the local park.  You can get your friends active by setting an example for them.

SERVICE LEARNING PROJECT
Leading a group can count as your community service or service learning requirements required in school.  Implementing a new curriculum will also look great on your college resume!  Print out a poster and FAQ's to show to your project advisor and parents.
